This piece was commissioned for the UNC Rex Cancer Center in Raleigh, NC. I was honored to be asked to make a piece for this important place for healing. “I am Light and I am Strong” is a mantra I have used for myself when facing challenges. I felt that it was reflective of the color combinations in the design of this set of tapestries and also a meditation for those facing the most personal health challenges. I chose colors that are soothing yet bold and graphic.
