The Regional Emerging Artists-in-Residence have the opportunity to show work completed while in the residency. At times I feel that I’m making little progress, but when I see my work together and remember the other 12 woven shibori scarves I made are not in the show, then it feels pretty darn good.

Ottertrack Lake is my most recent piece and finished just in time for the show. The paddling in Quetico Provincial Park, Ontario last summer was spectacular with some very calm water in the mornings. I love the reflections sky and trees in the water. I keep trying to get closer to that imagery that inspires and calms.
